Thomas Truss, Ph.D., PC.
Dr. Truss is a licensed psychologist who has been in practice for over 37 years. Dr. Truss has both broad and specialized experience in many areas of therapeutic intervention and assessment that has included all aspects of pychological evaluations as well as both civil and criminal forensic services. In addition, Dr. Truss serviced at the Baltimore City Police Academy as the primary psychologist. He has also served as Clinical Director of a number of Residential Treatment Programs including the Johns Hopkins Center for Pathological Gambling. His treatment emphasis is Individual, Couple and Family Therapy with adolescents, young and older aged adults.
Dr. Truss' post-doctoral training at the Psychoanalytic Psychology has enhanced his "Life Span" perspective consistent with the theory of Developmental Psychology. His Psychoanalytical training qualifies him as an experienced Psychoanalyst in addition to his use of eclectic theoretical work as a Psychologist.
In addition to his own psychotherapy practice, he served as a supervisory psychologist for many years; supervising pre-doctoral, Masters level and Doctorate level psychology students. He has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Loyola College.
Chislon Thomas, MA, Psychology Associate
Chislon Thomas is a State of Maryland approved Psychology Associate. He earned a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy where he is a current doctoral candidate. Chislon has experience in inpatient, and outpatient behavioral health services, trauma recovery, in addition to treating mood and anxiety-based reactions with children, adolescents, and adults. In his work with clients he incorporates psychodynamic psychotherapy and acceptance-based interventions to reach jointly constructed treatment goals. Areas of focus include improving client’s adaptive strengths to increase facility with managing stressors, developing an accurate and compassionate self-experience, improving one’s relationship functioning, and creating a values-driven life experience.
Lenore D. C. Murphy, M.A., N.C.P.
As a Psychology Associate, Lenore has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a nationally certified Masters-Level psychologist and clinical psychotherapist. She is a graduate of Loyola University of Maryland and has over 25 years of extensive experience with Individual, Couples and Family Therapy. She is also trained in Psychoeducational Testing and is a trained Family Mediator.
Jess Dunn, M.A
Jess Dunn is a registered psychology associate and a doctoral candidate at Duquesne University. She received her first Master’s Degree in clinical psychology at Towson University. Jess has several years of experience conducting individual psychodynamic therapy in outpatient settings with adolescent and adult clients from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations and socioeconomic classes. She works with clients who are seeking help with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, phobias, a history of abuse, interpersonal struggles, and experiences of institutional oppression as well as individuals who are unsure of what brings them to therapy. Her approach focuses on creating a non-judgmental environment in which clients may freely explore, inquire, and experience with the goal of alleviating emotional suffering and fostering a sense curiosity about oneself.
Mrs. Caine has been an integral part of Dr. Truss and Associates for over 10 years. Her primary role is to oversee all bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable functions of the office in addition to payroll processing and human resources. She supervises all administrative functions, helping to maintain the efficiency and overall flow of the office.
